Daschle served in the US House of Representatives from 1979-1987, the US Senate from 1987-2005, US Senate Majority Leader from 2001-2002, and the US Senate Minority Leader from 1994-2005 (except for years above).  He authored Like No Other Time, and served as the Special Policy Advisor at Alston & Bird, LLP, Special Fellow at Center for American Progress and Distinguished Professor: Georgetown University Institute for Public Policy.
